However in some parts of the media I do not have a very good relationship with it. An example I do not have a good relationship with newspaper. This is because if I ever need to read the news I will go online to do it. This is because what ever is in a physical newspaper such as a tabloid and broadsheets. I would go onto an online newspaper site such as The Sun to read catch up on the news. However, this would be on a rare occasion if I was told to do so by either my parents or a teacher. The only time I would read the news is if a tragedy had happened and I wanted to read up on it so I can sympathise with the people that were involved in it and if they had lost anyone I could send them my condolences. Click here to visit The Sun online and catch up on the most recent news.
I do watch Television but however it isn't that frequent. I used to watch the casual soaps such as EastEnders, Casualty and Holby City. This is because I used to like how the whole thing was set up. Such as the characters/ actors in it and how it was filmed, this is because I am one of those people that like watching multiple different family dramas. My favourite line from EastEnders would be "Get out of my pub" said by the character Peggy Mitchell.
Very thorough description of your relationship with different forms of the media. You have included a hyperlink, video and image correctly (all work), to support the points you have made. Some of your sentences do not quite make sense, i.e. your brief plot explanation for 'Death Note' and a sentence about you reading the news online rather than in an actual analogue form.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Sophia for your contribution on how I can improve my post. I will edit my post tonight to ensure that all sentences make sense.
DeleteThanks for completing the task Callum. I think that Sophia's comments are useful - I get the sense that literacy skills are an area where you will need to develop when both writing by hand or typing.
ReplyDeleteLots of young people do not read a daily newspaper but I would urge you to do this as way to a) increase your general understanding of the ways in which newspapers are constructed, and b) develop a better understanding of national and international issues.
Remember though that you need to try to be an active consumer of the media and not a passive consumer. This means engaging with the media but questioning it at the same time. Passive audiences believe what they see / hear / read and are susceptible to manipulation by the media.
